Life is loud.
Newsfeeds. Notifications. Expectations. Opinions.
We’re pulled in so many directions, it’s easy to lose our sense of purpose—and even our sanity.
We don’t need more noise.
We need a personal game plan—a way to filter out the chaos and focus on what truly matters.
That’s where the 7 F’s come in.
This simple, powerful framework helps you reflect on what you’re creating and what you’re allowing in your life. It’s not about performance or perfection—it’s about progress. It’s about choosing to live with intention, with clarity, and with Christ at the center.
What Are the 7 F’s?
Each “F” represents an area of your life that needs regular attention, truth, and intentionality. Here they are:
- Faith
- Family
- Friends
- Fitness
- Finances
- Freedom
- Fun
These aren’t boxes to check. They’re spaces to grow.
And in a world full of noise, they help you stay rooted in what matters most.
A New Filter: What Am I Creating and What Am I Allowing?
Before we go further, ask yourself: What am I creating in my life—and what am I allowing?
This question is the filter. It’s how you evaluate whether your daily habits, attitudes, and decisions are building the life God wants for you—or slowly eroding it.
Let’s Break Down the 7 F’s
1. Faith
“Beholding the glory of the Lord, we are being transformed…”
(2 Corinthians 3:18)
Your faith is the foundation. It’s not about checking a church box or following rules—it’s about beholding the face of Jesus and being changed by Him.
- Create space to behold Jesus: prayer, Scripture, silence.
- Don’t allow your schedule to drown out your soul.
Tip: Start your day in quiet with God before facing the world. One verse. One prayer. One step.

2. Family
In your home, your real life is revealed.
It’s where love should be patient and kind—but where tension can grow if left unchecked.
- Create a culture of grace and truth.
- Don’t allow negativity, sarcasm, or silence to dominate.
Tip: Say something encouraging to each family member every day. Draw loving boundaries when needed.
3. Friends
You need people who know the real you and love you enough to tell the truth.
- Create friendships that sharpen, stretch, and support.
- Don’t allow isolation or shallow, one-sided relationships.
Tip: Schedule regular time with a trusted friend who points you to Christ, not just comfort.
4. Fitness
Your body isn’t everything—but it’s the vessel through which you live and serve.
- Create rhythms of movement, rest, and nutrition.
- Don’t allow laziness or shame to keep you stuck.
Tip: Start small. A 10-minute walk, a healthy breakfast, or a stretch routine can shift momentum.
5. Finances
Money reveals trust and discipline. It’s not about how much you have—it’s about how you handle what you’ve been given.
- Create habits of saving, giving, and budgeting.
- Don’t allow impulsive spending or financial drift.
Tip: Set up an auto-transfer to savings and tithe first. Build margin one small choice at a time.
6. Freedom
“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
(2 Corinthians 3:17)
Freedom isn’t doing whatever you want. It’s being free from what used to control you—and free for the life God calls you to.
- Create space for spiritual and emotional healing.
- Don’t allow fear, guilt, or addiction to have the final word.
Tip: Name one area where you’re not free. Invite the Spirit into it. Speak truth over it daily.
7. Fun
God isn’t just about work—He invented joy. Laughter. Rest. Beauty.
- Create joy intentionally: hobbies, memories, play.
- Don’t allow busyness or guilt to steal your smile.
Tip: Schedule fun like you schedule meetings. Take a walk, play music, laugh with your kids.
How to Use the 7 F’s
Here’s a simple way to put this into practice:
- Reflect Weekly: Ask, “What am I creating and what am I allowing in each area?”
- Choose One Focus: Pick one “F” to grow in for the week or month.
- Take One Small Step: Don’t overhaul your life. Just take one faithful step in the right direction.
One Pastor, One Focus
At OnePastor, we believe Jesus is the One Pastor—the Shepherd your soul truly needs.
He’s not just a Sunday figure. He’s the center of every F.
- He’s the source of your faith.
- The glue in your family.
- The friend who never fails.
- The power behind your health, finances, freedom, and joy.
You don’t need to do it all perfectly. But you do need to start intentionally.
Final Challenge
This week, grab a journal or notes app. Write down the 7 F’s.
Ask: What am I creating? What am I allowing?
Then ask Jesus to lead you in one small, brave step.
It’s noisy out there. But your life doesn’t have to be.
Stay rooted. Stay real. Keep your eyes on the One Pastor.
If this helped you, share it with a friend—and take the journey together.
