Thank You For the Cross.

Lord, You are worth following even unto the cross.  We are here in a disrupted time of quarantine and “stay at home” orders.  Churches won’t gather in buildings this Sunday.  Today is called Good Friday.  It’s just weird where we are nowadays.  May You be magnified in us Christ.  You are the author of our lives.  We are living out Your story and You desire to use us to glorify the Father.  The cross is the way for us.  There was no other way and while you were all man and all God, You died for us.  You died for me.  Be magnified Jesus!!!  Thank You!

A Facebook Good Friday?

I’ve never been one to walk a tight line of tradition.  So, I say why not?  Why not use what we have to be connected in our praise!!  I’m sitting here now listening to Kari Jobe sing LIVE on a Facebook Live celebration of Jesus Christ.  Oh, Christ be magnified!!!  Sing it girl!!  I just saw my dear friend Addie Snotherly log on and watching along with me online.   Other friends are connecting with me now as I write like Larry Sorrells in Virginia.  It’s awesome to see others in my church and the area logging on to hear numerous artists and pastors sharing the Word.  I’m thankful for our local churches and community.  Fellowship with the body of Christ.  And prayer, yes that calling out to God with thankfulness and concern for those hurting.  God help us.  It’s not all emotional or silly, It is what it is.  Jesus is real to me and I’m seeking Him and desire a closer walk with Thee.  These difficult days with so many dying and sick and shut-in.  These are temporary sorrows and times of discomfort.  Weeping may last through the night.  Oh how I miss my wife who died almost a year ago, but sorrow won’t last forever.  Joy comes in the morning.  Please don’t just lay down depressed friends.   Be about Jesus today.  Have your mind on Him and His suffering and His sacrifice.  Oh, How He Loves Us!!!  So yes, I’ll praise Jesus on Facebook, on my knees, in my yard, all by myself, and in a text to a sweet brother or sister in Christ.  We are so blessed.  Sunday is coming friends.

Now is the time for us to get alone with God.  It’s time for quiet and it’s time for a genuine focus on Jesus Christ.   We have hope in Christ.  He is calling each of us by name.  This global pandemic is a global wake up call.  We will be united with Jesus in Heaven forever.  He loves you, He loves you, He loves you!!!  Joy is coming.  Say yes to Jesus my friend.  Above all powers, and above all Kings.  Above all the things of man.  Jesus was here before the world began.  Above all.  That’s Jesus.

Jesus lived to die.  He took the fall and thought of us.  Thank you Jesus.   Victory in Jesus alone.   His love wins always.

KEY POINTS TO PONDER: Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe in this?" John 11:25-26
